WE LOVE TO SHARE

Drawing on the flavor universe of three-Michelin-starred chef Andreas Caminada, Valentin Sträuli and his team craft imaginative dishes designed for sharing—rooted in the region yet open to the world. The name IGNIV comes from the Romansh word for “nest,” reflecting our wish for guests to feel as comfortable and cared for as a bird in its own cozy home.

Carefully selected wines—emphasizing large-format bottles—are an integral part of the IGNIV experience, as are the interior worlds conceived by Patricia Urquiola. Rather than a traditional multi-course menu, up to twenty shared dishes arrive at the center of your table—because joy shared is joy doubled.

IGNIV Andermatt is also open for Sunday lunch, welcoming guests to our Sharing Brunch. In the afternoons at the IGNIV Bar, you can savor coffee and cake or indulge in one of our signature cocktails.

Valentin Sträuli, Executive Chef
A Zurich native, Valentin previously served as Sous-Chef at IGNIV Zurich and honed his skills under Marcel Skibba and Andreas Caminada at Schloss Schauenstein. “The philosophy of offering numerous dishes to share at the center of the table instead of a traditional sequential menu fits me perfectly. It allows me to showcase many facets of my cuisine, vary dishes flexibly, and surprise our guests.” His passion for fresh ingredients, intense flavor combinations, and meticulous attention to detail is evident in every bite.
